MA Weather: Labor Day Will Feel Like 100 Degrees

Hot, humid, sticky ... summer is back for the holiday week.

Bust out the grills and beach chairs one last time. Labor Day is going to be what they call a 'scorcha' in Massachusetts.

Monday's temperatures are going to feel like 100 degrees with heat indices in the triple digits in some parts of the state, and it won't get too much cooler elsewhere. Many high temperatures will be in the lower 90s.

The warmth is prompting a heat advisory for nearly all of Central and Eastern Massachusetts from noon Monday to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Areas right up against the coastline will be under a hazardous weather outlook, but not a heat advisory, "since a backdoor cold front will bring somewhat lower temperatures on Tuesday," the National Weather Service said.
