MA Weather: A Rainy Father's Day Is In The Forecast

Check out some great ideas for Father's Day activities in case your plans get rained out.

For anyone planning to hit the tee for some golf this Father's Day, you may want to change your plans of make sure you have the rain gear ready. Massachusetts is expected to get some rain on Sunday that could damper plans.

There's a 60 percent chance of showers after 10 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. But if the rain does hold up, it should be pretty nice out with high temperatures near 75. Today might be the day to do something for Father's Day, since it's supposed to be sunny with a high of 81.

If celebrating the actual day is more your thing, here's three ideas to enjoy Father's Day without getting drenched.

Watch a movie

Bowling

Whether its ten-pin or candlepin style, bowling can be a great way to have fun and get a little exercise inside. Often, bowling alleys will do special Father's Day deals, so this is definitely something worth looking into.

Go to a sports museum

In Massachusetts, sports are obviously a big deal, so before or after the Red Sox game at 1:05 p.m., why not check out the Sports Museum at TD Garden in Boston? The Patriots Hall of Fame at Patriot Place in Foxborough is also a great option.

Go to the zoo

The Stone Zoo in Stoneham is offering free admission for fathers on Sunday.
