MA Weather: Severe Storms Threaten Tuesday, Spotty Storms Today
A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for the entire state in advance of some strong thunderstorms Tuesday.

Forecasters are warning of potentially severe thunderstorms and possible flooding as widespread precipitation threatens Tuesday. Heavy rainfall could result in between 1-3 inches of water in a short time, the National Weather Service said, with flash flooding and damaging winds possible.
The NWS also warned of isolated storms and showers possibly hitting Monday afternoon. Most areas won't see any rain today. Below is a simulated radar of when and where those storms could hit.

The larger concern is for Tuesday. A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for all of Massachusetts and all of Rhode Island. The timeline for Tuesday's storms isn't set, but Patch will update you when one materializes.

"Showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall may result in a localized flash flood threat for urban areas and small streams," the NWS said. "A few strong thunderstorms with strong wind gusts are also possible."
Areas west of I-495 are expected to see the most rain, while the Boston area could see well over an inch at most. The Cape should be between a half-inch and an inch.
