MA Weather: Severe Thunderstorms Eyed For Commute Home
Serious rain and wind have prompted a special weather statement from the National Weather Service.
Forecasters are warning of the possibility of a few severe thunderstorms making their way across Massachusetts Monday afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service put out a special weather statement for potentially damaging winds and heavy rainfall.
The storms are coming from the northwest, possibly between about 3 - 9 p.m. They may taper off before getting to Southeastern Mass. and the Cape.
"The main threats are strong to damaging winds and very heavy rainfall with localized street/highway flooding," the NWS said.
