MA Weather: Snow Officially In This Week's Forecast
Will it be enough to check school closures on Friday morning?

It's two weeks into November, and much of Massachusetts can finally expect the first snow of the season. Forecasters are saying widespread snow will fall Thursday night, tapering off at the coast.
Is it enough to keep an eye on school closings for Friday? Maybe not unless it exceeds expectations, but you should subscribe to your local Patch for real-time school closure and other storm alerts.
WBZ is predicting 2-4 inches outside of I-495, 1-2 inches inside of it, and up to an inch along the coast. The snow is expected to start between 9 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday, according to various forecasts.

Communities along the coast could see more of a freezing mixture - the sloppy winter weather that makes you yearn for snow. The whole system could turn to rain into Friday, depending on temperatures.
"With the lower temperatures initially and at the end, the new storm will bring more snow and ice to more places in the South, Midwest and Northeast than the first storm of the week," said AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dave Dombek.
