MA Weather: Snow To Spread Across State Throughout Evening Hours
The snow will come from the west, working its way across the state starting at 3 p.m.

BOSTON — Massachusetts is braced for the first plowable snowfall of 2020, which is expected to hit the state on Saturday afternoon and last throughout the evening hours. The snow will hit from the west, working its way across the state in bands.
Snow will start falling on the western edge of the state around 3 p.m. The eastern edge of the state, Cape and islands won't see the first flakes fall until about three hours later. The storm will be brief but intense, dropping several inches of snow in just a few hours. During this time, travel will be very difficult, the National Weather Service said. Most areas will see snow ending by midnight. A detailed map of snow end times is below.

Accumulation totals will vary across Massachusetts from six to eight inches in the northwest corner of the state to just an inch or two along the Cape.

Before the snow starts, expect a frigid day on Saturday, with afternoon highs in the low-to-mid 20s across much of the state. Because road surfaces will be completely frozen when flakes start to fall, expect snow to start sticking and accumulating right away.
