The remnants of post-tropical cyclone Barry is expected to soak Massachusetts later this week. The one-time hurricane is dragging what it's got left to the Northeast to interrupt a string of scorching-hot days.

Barry will begin pelting Massachusetts late Wednesday afternoon into the evening and stay throughout most of Thursday. Forecasters are expecting scattered showers and thunderstorms. Just about the entire state is at "marginal" risk for severe weather, the National Weather Service said.

Accuweather
There will very high humidity Thursday, though temperatures should top out in the mid-70s. It will be a break before temperatures puff back up to the 90s over the weekend, and it could feel like triple digits.

Barry flooded parts of the southeastern U.S. the past several days. It was over southern Missouri Tuesday morning.
