MA Woman Stumbles Into 'Comment Of The Year'

What's next for Democrats? According to one woman, it involves hard-boiled eggs, the Cape and a knee that needs to be iced.

BOSTON, MA – A Massachusetts woman is getting laughs for a twisting, rambling run-on sentence of a political comment on the New York Times website (that somehow manages to be more coherent than your drunken uncle at Thanksgiving). Christine McMorrow says she was using her iPhone's voice-to-text feature when, in the middle of her indictment of the Democrats' future, her friend called her landline.

But the iPhone kept recording.

"Zero optimism that the Democrats can ever regain..." her comment starts, before tackling such issues as hard-boiled eggs, a visit to Cape Cod and icing her knee. The comment, posted on the New York Times story "As G.O.P. Bends Toward Trump, Critics Either Give In or Give Up," was shared thousands of times online, with New York Magazine calling it the calling it the "single best comment of the year."

McMorrow, a resident of greater Boston, told the Boston Globe the whole experience was "embarrassing" and "very weird."
