Man Dies Of Gunshot Wounds In Mattapan: Police
The unidentified man was found Thursday night along Oak Hill Avenue.
MATTAPAN, MA — Boston police are investigating a shooting death that happened Thursday night along a dead-end road off of West Selden Street.
Police went to a home along Oak Hill Avenue just after 8:30 p.m. Thursday after getting a report of a person shot. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police did not release any other details about the shooting, but are asking for anyone with tips to contact them.

Excluding Thursday's shooting, there have been 18 homicides in Boston so far in 2022. The last happened on Aug. 1 along Norwell Street in Dorchester. The last killing in Mattapan happened July 21 when Jahieem Gist-Vailes, 21, was shot and killed along Orlando Street.
