Massachusetts Weather Forecast: Heavy, Slow-Moving Downpours On Horizon
Several days this week look like they'll be flooded out, but your Labor Day should be unspoiled.

Slow-moving downpours and flash flooding are heading toward Massachusetts for a mid-week soaking, forecasters said Sunday. Labor Day and your beautiful Tuesday will be largely unspoiled, but Tuesday night and especially Wednesday and Thursday are set to receive some very heavy rains.
There is no precise timeline yet, but the rains will begin to move over Western Mass. some time Tuesday night. They will persist overnight, slowly moving farther east into Wednesday, and lingering for a couple of days. It might not be clear again until late Saturday.
"With periods of heavy rain falling over the same areas for a couple of days, there will be some flooding of roads and poor drainage areas. Flooding of small streams and creeks is also not out of the question," AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Thompson said.
