Massive Boston Food Hall Set To Close This Month

The market opened in Fenway in 2019.

BOSTON, MA — A well-known food hall in Boston's Fenway neighborhood is set to close later this month.

Time Out Market, a massive food hall known for its variety of vendors and diverse cuisines, will shutter on Jan. 23, Time Out Group announced on Wednesday. The market, which has been open for nearly seven years, is the city’s largest food hall.

The 27,000-square-foot market features 15 eateries, two bars, and a large outdoor patio.

Although the food hall is closing, Time Out Boston's digital media brand will continue covering activities, sites and food in the city, according to the company.

We want to thank our team, our chefs and restaurateurs who truly are the best of the city—it is thanks to all of them that the Boston Market has been a wonderful place for our guests whom we also would like to thank wholeheartedly. We are proud to have been able to give our vendors a platform in Time Out Market, we will continue to champion these outstanding, best of the city talents. We hope to welcome many of you as our guests at the Market this month to enjoy our vendors’ amazing food," said Michael Marlay, the CEO of Time Out Market.

With the Time Out location at 401 Park Dr. closing and its next-door neighbor, REI Co-op, also shuttering this year, the Fenway neighborhood will see many changes in 2026.
