MA Power Outages Hit 11,000; Tornado Warning Expires

More than 11,000 power customers were in the dark as a powerful storm made its way across Massachusetts Wednesday afternoon. A third of Haverhill — nearly 9,500 people — were without power. Methuen has more than 1,000 without power.

A tornado warning was called in Essex County. It expired at 3:15 p.m. There are no reports of a tornado touching down.
