Seven People Stabbed in Boston's Theater District: Update

BOSTON, MA — Flashing lights and wailing sirens descended on Tremont Street early Sunday morning as police taped off the scene of a stabbing incident that left seven people hurt, at least two of them seriously injured, according to police.

The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m., as Boston police responded to reports of a fight outside a Theater District hotel, not far from the Emerson College campus.

As of about 5 p.m. Sunday, Officer Stephen McNulty told Patch all seven victims are "out of the woods," with none of the injuries considered life-threatening.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident, but no arrests have been made at this time, McNulty said.

Emerson College officials reportedly issued an email alert asking students to report suspicious activity, and stating that two suspects remain at large. Around 2:30 p.m., the college confirmed nobody associated with the school was involved in the attack.
