The New England Patriots Super Bowl parade route has been mapped out. Here are the details, parking restrictions, street closings and more.

BOSTON, MA — The New England Patriots are Super Bowl champions again. The City of Boston announced the duck boat parade will take place Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m., with route, parking and traffic details revealed Monday morning.

The parade will start at Hynes Convention Center and go down Boylston Street, take a left on Tremont Street and finish on Cambridge Street. You can see a map of the route below. Patch will be live streaming the parade Tuesday morning.

Boylston Street will be closed from Massachusetts Ave. to Tremont Street, Tremont Street will be closed from Boylston Street to Court Street, and Cambridge Street will be closed from Court Street to New Chardon Street. The streets will close at 9 a.m. and re-open after crowds leave and the area is cleaned up.

There will be parking restrictions starting at 6 a.m. Keep an eye out for posted streets signs saying "No Stopping Boston Police Special Event." The parking restrictions are posted at the bottom of this story.

Boston is encouraging fans to take the MBTA into Boston. The Commuter Rail will run its normal weekday schedule, and there will be additional cars on the busiest lines. The Commuter Rail is warning of extreme crowding - the Bruins play Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at TD Garden - and potential wait times of up to two hours during the evening commute.

"Commuter rail will have additional coach cars to help transport hundreds of thousands of fans celebrating the Patriots’ sixth Super Bowl championship," said David Scorey, CEO and General Manager, Keolis. "We will utilize as many resources as we have available to add capacity and help to ensure boarding is as smooth as possible, however passengers should plan extra time into their travel."

Lyft is offering a promotion to get $6 off a ride to the parade route (in celebration of the Patriots' sixth title) if you use code SIXRINGS between 5-11 a.m.

There will be two accessible viewing areas for people with disabilities:

  • Copley Square - next to Copley MBTA Station Elevator.
  • City Hall Plaza - next to Government Center MBTA Station.

Tuesday's route

The Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams, 13-3, Sunday night in Atlanta for their sixth Super Bowl championship, all of them coming since the 2001 season. The 2019 championship parade will be the 12th in Boston since New England first beat the Rams in the Super Bowl on Feb. 3, 2002. The Patriots will have had six, the Red Sox have had four and the Bruins and Celtics have had one apiece.

The championship parade in 2017 took place the Tuesday after New England came back to beat Atlanta in overtime. That parade started at 11 a.m. and took the team from Boylston Street to City Hall.

The Red Sox World Series championship parade last year started at Fenway Park and ended at Staniford Street. That parade took place on a Wednesday, three days after Boston won. It was also Halloween.

The 2015 Super Bowl Parade was two days after beating Seattle in the Super Bowl.
