New Wine Bar, Restaurant Opens At Boston Public Market

BOSTON, MA — A new wine bar, restaurant, tasting room and retail shop has officially debuted inside Boston Public Market.

Marzae Cellar + Provisions began its soft-opening phase at the end of July in the market's largest retail space. Full operations, including a draft wine program and expanded evening dining service, are expected by mid-to-late August, while brunch is planned for the fall.

The business joins about 30 New England food producers and artisans inside Boston Public Market at 100 Hanover St.

Marzae Cellar + Provisions is operated by Marzae, a natural winery founded in 2023 by husband-and-wife team Eliot Martin and Katie Luczai. The company describes itself as Massachusetts’ first and only natural winery.

The new location offers Marzae wines, aperitifs, local beer, cocktails, nonalcoholic drinks and seasonal dishes inspired by New England farms and fisheries. Counter-service dining is available during the day, with a full-service, chef-driven menu planned for evenings.

The space also sells regional food and lifestyle products alongside Marzae wine and merchandise. Ingredients and other products are sourced from fellow Boston Public Market vendors including Red’s Best, George Howell Coffee and Curio Spice Co.

“Marzae is a great match for the Market — rooted in regional agriculture, thoughtfully sustainable and committed to community,” Boston Public Market CEO Julia Leja said in a statement.

The opening follows other recent expansions by Marzae. The company launched MASSeration, a Massachusetts natural wine fair, and planted a regeneratively farmed vineyard in Haverhill this summer. It also took over management of an abandoned Berkshire vineyard, where organically farmed Frontenac Noir and Frontenac Gris grapes are expected to be used in its 2026 production.
