Northeastern University Professor’s Paper Among Top 25 Downloaded from IEEE Sensors Journal in June 2016

The count included all papers published in IEEE Sensors Journal since it's founding

Kaushik Chowdhury, Ph.D., associate professor of electrical and computer engineering at Northeastern University’s College of Engineering, co-authored Low-Cost Wake-Up Receiver for RF Energy Harvesting Wireless Sensor Networks, a paper that was one of the 25 most downloaded from the IEEE Sensors Journal in June 2016.

The count included all papers published in IEEE Sensors Journal since it’s founding, about 4,500 papers in total. Last year, 439,609 IEEE Sensors Journal papers were downloaded from the IEEE Xplore digital library.

Aside from his role as associate professor, Dr. Chowdhury directs the Next GEneration NEtworks and SYstems (GENESYS) Lab at Northeastern University. He received his M.S. from the University of Cincinnati in 2006 and his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009. His research interests include dynamic spectrum access, energy harvesting sensor networks, 5G technology, intra-body communication and protocol design for wireless.
