One Of Boston's Most Wanted Women Arrested On Animal Abuse Charges

BOSTON, MA — A Roxbury woman who had been listed on Boston's Most Wanted was arrested Wednesday afternoon after being accused of animal cruelty, the Boston Police Department said in a news release.

Lakeida Burris, 36, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. on Ernst Street, police said.

She had recently appeared on a Boston Police Department Most Wanted list as she was being sought on outstanding warrants on two counts of animal abuse charges, according to police.

Burris expected to appear in Roxbury District Court for arraignment, police said.
