Orange Line Train Strikes, Kills Person Who Fell Onto Tracks: TPD

BOSTON — A fell onto the train tracks at State Street was struck and killed by an Orange Line train overnight, authorities said. Transit Police said the male, whose age and identity have not been released, "appeared very unsteady on his feet stumbled and fell into the right of way (pit area)" before being hit by the northbound train shortly after midnight.

The Suffolk County District Attorney's Office and Transit Police are investigating.
