Plane Collides With De-Icing Truck At Logan International Airport
The plane was hauling 166 passengers at the time and sustained minor damage to its left wing.

BOSTON, MA — An airplane carrying 166 passengers at Logan International Airport collided with a de-icing truck as the plane was heading to take off, officials said. Alaska Airlines Flight 33 had been on a taxiway preparing to depart for Portland International Airport in Oregon at the time of the collision Monday afternoon, the airline said in a statement.
The plane sustained minor damage to its left wing and never took off. It returned to the gate and passengers deplaned. Inspectors will look at the plane, which has since been taken out of service, the airline said.
"We apologize to our guests who have been inconvenienced this afternoon on AS Flight 33," the airline said. "The safety of our guests and our workers is our number one priority."
