BOSTON, MA — A plane may have been struck by lightning while landing late Monday night at Logan International Airport, according to WCVB-5 ABC. The Delta flight left Chicago shortly after 8:30 p.m., and the possible lightning strike occurred as it touched down at midnight.

A spokeswoman told WBZ-TV that the Airbus A220, which had 85 people on board, "landed safely without incident following a potential lightning strike."

Crews were inspecting the plane's wing following landing. Delta has removed the plane from service as it is being evaluated, according to WBZ-TV.
