Police Remove Gun From Boston High School, Boy Arrested: Reports
Police arrested a boy on a charge of possession of a firearm, according to multiple outlets.

BOSTON, MA — A student has been arrested after police removed a gun from the Muriel S. Snowden International School on Newbury Street in Back Bay Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
The school was placed on lockdown for one hour Wednesday morning after police found the gun around 11:43 a.m., the Boston Herald reported, citing a Boston Police Department spokesperson.
Police arrested a student on a charge of possession of a firearm, according to multiple outlets including the Herald and the Boston Globe.

The firearm was not discharged and no one was injured, Snowden's Head of School Raquel Martinez said in a letter to parents later in the day.
The student involved will face disciplinary action following the Boston Public Schools Code of Conduct as well as action from law enforcement, Martinez added.

"Snowden International High School focuses on fostering a safe environment for every community member," Martinez wrote in the letter. "Thank you to the entire Snowden community for your teamwork and patience as we work together to ensure the safety of all members of our community."
