President Trump Takes Some Credit For Red Sox' Recent Hot Streak
The Red Sox, who President Trump called "GREAT guys," have won three straight games since some of them visited Washington last week.
The Red Sox are undefeated since a smattering of them visited the White House Thursday, something President Trump hasn't let fall unnoticed. Trump tweeted Monday morning if anyone else "noticed all the Boston @RedSox have done is WIN since coming to the White House!"
While Trump isn't wrong, the Sox actually started heating up well before the visit. Boston has won 11 of 14 overall, taking three straight series heading into their presidential meet-and-greet. They swept the reeling Seattle Mariners over the weekend, making them 3-0 since some went to Washington to be honored for winning the World Series.
Much of the team - including manager Alex Cora - opted not to go.

The Red Sox have won at least one World Series during the presidency of each of the last three presidents: Twice during President Obama's time and once during President Bush's.
