Public Transit at a Crawl, Parking Lots Full due to Women's March
The MBTA is feeling the strain of 100,000+ descending upon Boston.

An estimated 100,000 descending upon Boston for the Boston Women's March for America is putting a strain on the transportation system, particularly public transit, officials say.
The MBTA says "all subway lines may experience moderate delays today due to heavy ridership resulting from the Boston Women's March."
Many station parking lots have been filled to capacity as tens of thousands flock to Boston via train. As of just before 12:30, the MBTA said Alewife, Braintree, Riverside, Forest Hills, Malden, Sullivan, Oak Grove.

The MBTA will start Green Line D branch buses from Copley to Riverside starting at 3 p.m.

Even the Grove Street exit on 95 North was closed for a short time Saturday morning due to traffic congestion at the T station in Newton. That reopened around noon.
