Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued In Massachusetts
The watch covers all of inland Massachusetts. The Cape and islands aren't expected to see severe weather.
PROVIDENCE, RI — Scattered, severe thunderstorms could hit southern New England Tuesday evening. The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the entire region, including much of Massachusetts.
The advisory covers all inland Massachusetts and will remain in effect until 10 p.m. The Cape and islands will not be affected, the weather service said. Throughout the late afternoon and evening hours, high wind gusts, quarter-size hail and frequent lightning strikes will be possible.
There's an approximately 60 percent chance of rain in Massachusetts, between a quarter and a half inch.
