BOSTON, MA — Shiva Ayyadurai, the controversial politican best known for claiming he invented email, is running for Massachusetts governor.
Ayyadurai, an MIT lecturer, is running on a platform of "Truth, Freedom, and Health." He made the announcement on a Facebook Live video last Thursday, after Gov. Charlie Baker announced he will not be seeking re-election.
Ayyadurai appears to be running as a third-party candidate. He alleges former president Donald Trump was manipulated to endorse Geoff Diehl, whom he called "an idiot" responsible for election fraud, for the Republican gubernatorial ticket.
