First 2 Boston Homicides Of Year In Thursday Shootings

A shooting in Roxbury left one dead, while two others were reportedly injured at a shooting near a Dorchester Burger King.

BOSTON, MA — Two men in their 20's are dead after a violence-filled Thursday afternoon in Boston, marking the first two homicides in the city this year.

One man was killed in Roxbury, police said. Boston Police responded to the area of 31 Whittier Street around 1:46 p.m. to find the victim, who died after being taken to the hospital.

It wasn't more than 30 minutes later that police responded to a Burger King in Dorchester, finding one man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Another victim was found after fleeing the parking lot. That man, also in his 20's, was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Boston Police are asking for community members to contact the Homicide Department at 617-343-4470 with information on either shooting.
