Smoke From CA Fires Reaches Southern New England

The smoke has made its way east, thousands of miles from where the catastrophic fires have killed at least 31.

BOSTON, MA — Smoke from the catastrophic California fires has traveled thousand of miles east, reaching Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Maps from the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration show smoke plumes reaching into Southern New England Monday.

The fires have killed at least 31 and burned at least 209,000 acres. More than 8,000 firefighters were at the frontlines Monday.
