South Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade 2024 In Photos

BOSTON, MA — South Boston was seeing lots of green on Sunday, March 17, as crowds of people lined the streets to celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2024. While there were many festive events all around the city, including a boxing tournament and memorial Mass, it's the popular South Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade that typically draws about 1 million people.

The annual parade honors the city's Irish heritage, and it also celebrates Evacuation Day, which commemorates the evacuation of British troops from Boston during the Revolutionary War, according to AP.
