With Spring Around The Corner, Weather Takes Turn Tomorrow
It starts slow, but things are going to get a whole lot more tolerable.
Some good weather news? Relatively so, it seems.
This stretch of obnoxious cold will relent Friday, with high temperatures creeping above freezing for the first time in a couple days. It doesn't sound like much, but high temperatures stay comfortably above freezing for at least the next two weeks, according to forecasts.
That takes us to March 21, which is the first day of spring, otherwise known as the end of winter. We don't have a long-term forecast, but it means tonight could very well be the last day to stay in freezing temperatures until next winter.

The National Weather Service said this turnaround "begins a steady warming trend."
In fact, this weekend is expected to get into the 40s, though this Sunday will be a hiccup. It will start with a wintry mix in the early morning - sleet and freezing rain - before turning into a significant amount of rain as temperatures climb into the mid-40s. Monday will then spike into the high 40s.
