Stop & Shop Shows Its Appreciation for Local Veterans
Stop & Shop Hosts Honorary Dinner and Turkey Distribution

Stop & Shop hosted Quincy-area veterans at the brand’s headquarters for a special dinner and turkey distribution to support the at-need population and create awareness of food insecurity amongst veterans.
Organized by the Stop & Shop Veterans Associate Resource Group, a group of Stop & Shop associates who are veterans or have active duty or veteran relatives, Home Base, and Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center, the dinner fed roughly 50 veterans. After their meal, the veterans will received a frozen turkey and Thanksgiving sides to bring home to ensure they have a warm and plentiful holiday meal on Thanksgiving Day.
Home Base, a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Program, is dedicated to healing the invisible wounds for Veterans of all eras, Service Members, Military Families and Families of the Fallen through world-class clinical care, wellness, education and research at no cost to them. Since its inception in 2009, Home Base has provided care and support to more than 35,000 Veterans and Family Members and trained more than 80,000 clinicians, educators, first responders and community members.
