Storrow Drive Flooded, Closed Near Boston: State Police
Storrow Drive between the Hatch Shell and BU closed because of flooding on the roadway. Earlier this morning a car got stuck.
BOSTON, MA ― This morning following the downpours, Storrow Drive flooded sometime after 7 a.m. and at least one car was stuck in the water near the Lagoon. State Police radio reports indicate it was impassable in that area and cars were driving up onto the median to avoid getting stuck in the waters.
MA State Police say several sections of road being closed, including the stretch near the Hatch Shell.

From the Department of Homeland Security when it comes to floods:
- Do not walk, swim, or drive through flood waters. Turn Around, Don’t Drown!
- Just six inches of moving water can knock you down, and one foot of moving water can sweep your vehicle away.
