Suspect In 2011 Boston Double Murder Caught In Haiti
Jean Weevens Janvier is accused of killing two sisters in their Dorchester apartment.

BOSTON, MA– A man suspected of killing two sisters in their Dorchester apartment has been caught after nearly six years on the run. Jean Weevens Janvier, 34, was taken into custody at his mother's house in Santo, Haiti on June 3, according to the U.S. Marshals' Service. He has been brought back to the United States to face first degree murder charges.
Janvier, 34, is accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend, 21-year-old Stephanie Emile, and her sister, 23-year-old Judith Emile on Nov. 14, 2011. Police who arrived on the scene found a toddler alive but alone with the murdered women.
Authorities believe Janvier fled Massachusetts shortly after the murders. He was added to the Boston Police Department's Most Wanted list the following year and placed on the U.S. Marshals' 15 Most Wanted list in February 2016.
