Thanksgiving Weather in Massachusetts: Wet Turkey

An extended forecast is calling for rain late next week.

Maybe buy some cheap umbrellas on Black Friday, because next weekend looks like it might get wet.

Forecasters say the weather is expected to be "cloudy with occasional rain showers" starting on Thanksgiving. For many people, that could mean slick traveling conditions or wet benches to watch the kids play their high school football games.

The soggy weather is expected to stick through the weekend, but the temperatures won't dip too far. Weather.com says Thursday and Friday may see highs near 50 degrees.

The early part of next week is expected to be dry but much more blustery. It also could be a bit more chilly, with lows below freezing.

As with any weather forecast - particularly ones a week out - nothing is guaranteed. There is more or less a 50 percent chance of rain all around Massachusetts for the holiday weekend.
