MA Town-By-Town Snow Totals For Feb. 12 Storm

No, we're not getting soft. We just haven't gotten much snowfall this year, so Tuesday's fairly modest storm seemed like a pretty decent amount of snow.

The snowfall was most heavy north of the Mass Pike and in areas of Central Massachusetts, just as forecasts had predicted. That 6-8 inches that was initially forecast was hard to come by, but the immediate transition to freezing rain and increasing temperatures made this a tricky one to nail down.

Only a handful of measurements from Tuesday's storm were over 5 inches, the NWS reported. Amesbury led the way with 5.5 inches, Dracut had 5.2, Fitchburg and Lunenberg had 5.1 and Haverhill, Methuen, Gloucester, Westminster and Leominster.

Boston didn't get leveled with snow but more than doubled its snowfall for the season, the National Weather Service said. The city now has nearly 5 inches of snow this winter.
