Victim In Daytime Dorchester Fatal Shooting ID'd by Police

BOSTON, MA — Boston police have identified the man shot and killed Wednesday along Harvard Street — the latest victim in a series of deadly shootings in the city.

Elijah Pinckney, 35, of Dorchester, was found shot just after 1 p.m. Wednesday along Harvard Street near Paxton Street. Pinckney died at the scene of the shooting. Police did not immediately announce any arrests related to the killing.

Pinckney was the second shooting victim this week. Six people were shot within an hour Sunday night, including one person fatally. Edwin Pizarro, 48, of Mattapan, died after a shooting along Orlando Street in Mattapan.
