Voices of Hope Presents Annual Donation to MGH Cancer Center!

On Saturday night, March 15th, Voices of Hope (VOH) made their annual donation to the Termeer Center for Targeted Therapies at the Mass General Cancer Center. This year's donation, resulting from VOH's fundraising efforts in 2024, amounted to $113,000, bringing their total contributions to cancer research to over $1.2 million, with more than $1 million donated directly to the Termeer Center for targeted therapies at MGH.

Greg Chastain, founder and president of VOH, stated, "The head of the Termeer Center, Dr. Dejan Juric, and Head of Nursing, Casandra McIntyre, provided us with updates. They informed us that the 27th FDA-approved drug hit the market in January, developed and tested at Termeer using our funding. They shared exciting insights about future advancements. It's incredible to see the progress that has been made and what lies ahead."

Chastain expressed pride in this donation, highlighting that it was the third largest since the organization's inception. He attributed this achievement to the hard work, dedication, and heart of VOH members who volunteer hundreds of hours each year.

The next major fundraising event for Voices of Hope is approaching, featuring their production of the classic rock opera musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" at the North Shore Music Theater in Beverly, MA, on Thursday, March 27th, and Friday, March 28th.

Jon DiPrima, a VOH member who is also the director of the VOH summer youth program and musical, is thrilled to be part of this cast, portraying one of the apostles in the production. DiPrima shared, "At rehearsal today, Greg Chastain mentioned that *this show* has already sold more tickets than any previous VOH production. Additionally, Dr. Juric from the Termeer Center announced the FDA approval of the 26th and 27th cancer treatments funded in large part by Voices of Hope."
