• As Bridge Replacement Work Nears, Officials Stand Ready (capecodchronicle.com) — Plans to replace the Sagamore and eventually Bourne bridges are moving ahead, with construction on a new Sagamore span expected to start in 2028 and MassDOT pledging to keep two lanes open each way. Local officials warn that delaying full replacement of the Bourne Bridge could mean a six‑month closure and major economic losses, so they're urging residents to stay informed as designs and traffic plans take shape.
