BRAINTREE, MA — For the fourth straight year, the Mid-August Festival is returning to Braintree. Originally scheduled for Sept. 27, the festival was postponed after a nor'easter brought rain to the area last weekend.
The celebration will now take place on Saturday, Oct. 4.
This year's festival will feature more than 50 vendors as the community comes together to celebrate Asian cuisine and culture.
Festivities will kick off at 1 p.m. and run until 5 p.m. at French's Common, located at 1 John F. Kennedy Memorial Drive.
The event, which is free and open to the public, is hosted by the Chinese American Association of Braintree.
There will also be live entertainment for residents to enjoy as the community gathers for the annual celebration.
