BRAINTREE, MA — Young cheerleaders in Braintree will have a chance to learn from the varsity squad and experience the excitement of homecoming later this week.
On Friday, Oct. 16, the Braintree Varsity Cheer Youth Clinic will give aspiring cheerleaders a chance to take part in the town's homecoming festivities.
The clinic will begin at 5 p.m. and run until halftime. Participants will join the varsity cheerleaders on the sidelines during the first half of the game, getting a firsthand look at what it's like to cheer on the team.
Registration costs $45 and includes pizza and drinks.
The clinic is open to students in kindergarten through eighth grade, giving young athletes an opportunity to learn more about cheerleading while taking part in a special homecoming experience.
This year's homecoming game will feature Braintree taking on the Needham High School Rockets.
