Braintree Treats Seniors To Grab-and-Go Event

Braintree is showing its senior community some extra appreciation.

BRAINTREE, MA — The Weymouth-Braintree Elks are showing their appreciation for local seniors with a special grab-and-go event next month.

On Nov. 7, the organization will treat 200 seniors — 100 from Weymouth and 100 from Braintree — to a holiday-themed meal from noon to 2 p.m.

The menu will feature stuffed chicken breast served with potatoes, vegetables, gravy and a dinner roll.

The holiday generosity doesn't stop there, as additional goodies will also be available at the drive-thru event, which will take place at 788 Liberty St. in Braintree.

The event is free and open to seniors from both communities, but spots are limited. Participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

Seniors interested in enjoying a holiday meal can sign up by contacting Elks Lodge secretary Donna at 781-337-8878.
