Braintree High's 2012 Science Fair Awards and Photos
There were 62 competitors in the Science Fair at Braintree High School on Tuesday.
Below are the award winners from Tuesday's Science Fair at . The top scorer and winner of the Richard P. Doyle Award were a group of students – Jonathan Flynn, Matthew Ford and Timothy Manganello – who produced methane gas as a fuel.
"The guys who won that did an amazing project that they started last summer," Director of Science K-12 Dianne Rees said in an email. "Their goal was to produce methane gas from cow manure, then use the gas to power an engine. They were able to successfully produce the gas and were also able to modify a go-cart engine to run on propane."
