1 Seriously Injured In Early-Morning Route 24 Crash
A 23-year-old woman was thrown from the vehicle and seriously injured, police said. The highway was closed for hours.

AVON, MA — A woman was airlifted from a serious crash on Route 24, police said. Two others were injured in the early-morning crash.
State Police said a two-car crash at Harrison Blvd. in Avon around 2 a.m. sent one of the vehicles off the road into trees and a utility pole. The passenger, a 23-year-old woman, was ejected from the car. She was flown to Mass. General.
A woman who was driving the car was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, while the man driving the other was also taken to a hospital.

The crash brought power lines down across Route 24, closing the highway for hours. It has since been reopened.
