8-Year-Old Hit By SUV In Brockton

BROCKTON, MA — An 8-year-old boy was struck by an SUV Tuesday afternoon on Manomet Street. Police said the crash happened around 3 p.m., and the boy was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton with non life-threatening injuries.

The woman driving told police she saw a group of children at the corner of the road near West Harvard Street, and one boy darted in front of her Toyota Rav4 to try and cross the street, the Brockton Enterprise reported.

It's not clear if the woman will face charges or be cited.. Brockton police communications director Darren Duarte was not immediately available for comment.
