Alleged Gang Member Arrested In Brockton

BROCKTON, MA — An alleged gang member was taken into custody Tuesday night.

Jonathan Dasilva, 25, of Dorchester, was arrested and charged with unlawful carrying of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Tuesday night, police pulled over a vehicle operated by Dasilva on Concord Street. Police noted that Dasilva began to move things around the vehicle after being stopped by police.

After removing Dasilva from the car, offices found a loaded 9 millimeter Glock handgun, with an ammunition magazine that had nine rounds, according to the Enterprise.

Dasilva was scheduled to be arraigned in Brockton District Court.
