• Two people hospitalized in Brockton motorcycle crash (wcvb.com) — Two people were hospitalized after a serious motorcycle and car crash on Ames Street in Brockton Tuesday night, drawing a rapid response from police and neighbors. One rider received CPR from a resident who works at a hospital before being taken to an area hospital, while the car’s young driver was also transported for evaluation. Brockton police are still investigating, and neighbors say speeding is common on that street.    

• NYC offers discounted World Cup tickets: Should Boston follow suit? (bostonglobe.com) — Brockton is currently shut out from officially sanctioned World Cup watch parties, despite its large Cape Verdean community and local plans to celebrate.
