BROCKTON, MA — Brockton drivers should prepare for delays and traffic changes as roadwork gets underway across the city.
Starting Oct. 22, paving work will begin on several streets and continue through Oct. 24. Motorists should expect delays and possible road closures as crews work to improve road conditions.
The affected roads include Belmont Street, Green Street, L Street, Frederick Douglass Avenue, Main Street and West Elm Street.
In addition to paving, several downtown streets will transition to two-way traffic, including Warren Avenue, Belmont Street and Main Street.
The project will also include updated lane markings and new road signs to help drivers navigate the changes.
City officials are urging motorists to slow down, remain alert for construction crews and allow extra travel time while work is underway.
