Attleboro Worker Wipes Away Counterfeit Cash From Brockton Man: Police

Eric Dossantosferrier, 23​, was arrested Friday night and charged with uttering a counterfeit note and possessing a counterfeit note​.

BROCTKON, MA — A manager at a Taco Bell in Attleboro simply needed to wipe away the ink on a counterfeit bill from a Brockton man to realize that it was fake, police said.

Eric Dossantosferrier, 23, was arrested Friday night and charged with uttering a counterfeit note and possessing a counterfeit note. He was arraigned in Attleboro District Court Tuesday, according to the Sun Chronicle.

Police say that the restaurant realized they had allegedly fake cash when the ink on a $100 bill began to come off during the exchange. A pen test confirmed that the bill was a fake.

Dossantosferrier said he was not aware that the cash wasn't real and said he is often paid in cash as part of his job as a painter. Other bills on the Brockton man were found to be real.

He is scheduled to return to court May 19.
