Brockton AP Scores Below State Average

BROCKTON, MA - Brockton High School students performed below the state average on the 2015-16 AP exam, according to new data.

Data compiled by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education shows that 33 percent of AP exams in Brockton received a score of at least three out of five, which is under the state average.

Many colleges and universities count scores of three or higher towards college credit.

The state average is 66.5 percent, a 0.2 percent increase over last year.

  • Tests that scored 1/5: 116
  • Tests that scored 2/5: 177
  • Tests that scored 3/5: 88
  • Tests that scored 4/5: 44
  • Tests that scored 5/5: 12
  • Percent of tests that scored a 1 or 2: 67 percent
  • Percent of tests and scored between 3-5: 33 percent
