Brockton Brothers Steal 26 Motorbikes: Police
Brockton police recovered more than two dozen stolen mopeds, ATVs, and dirt bikes.

BROCKTON, MA — Two Brockton brothers were arrested after police busted a stolen motorbike ring and recovered more than two dozen mopeds, ATVs, and dirt bikes, police said. In June, officers began investigating several reports of stolen motorbikes, but last Thursday, investigators caught a break in the case after a witness saw someone riding one of the bikes on Crescent Street, the Brockton Enterprise reported.
Police said they used surveillance footage and witness interviews to identify Goncalves Rodrigues, 19, and his 17-year-old brother as the suspects. The investigation led officers to Rodriques' home, where police said they found 26 motorbikes. Rodrigues was arraigned in Brockton District Court and charged with seven counts of receiving stolen motor vehicles. His brother will be arraigned in Brockton Juvenile Court on seven counts of larceny of a motor vehicle.
Police said they're working to return the stolen bikes to their owner.
