Brockton Child Who Fell Through Ice Dies
Police have confirmed that 12-year-old C.J. Thompson has passed away.

BROCKTON, MA - One of the boys who fell through ice last month has died.
In January, 12-year-old C.J. Thompson was playing on a pond in Brockton with another child when he fell and got trapped in the water, according to WHDH.
Officials told NECN that the boy was pulled out of the pond by firefighters and had no pulse when he was rescued. He was given CPR on the way to the hospital and his pulse returned.

Since being rescued, he has been in the hospital for weeks.
In a statement, the Thompson family said:
